Marathonis im Spanienurlaub

Nach einigen Jahren haben wir mal wieder Urlaub in Torredembarra gemacht. Die idyllische Kleinstadt, fern vom Touristentrubel, ist eine Autostunde von Barcelona entfernt.
Und im Oktober fehlen dann sogar die spanischen Urlauber; denen ist es trotz Temperaturen um die 25 bis 30 Grad zu kalt. So hatten wir den langen Strand und die Dünenlandschaft fast für uns allein.
Aber wir waren ja doch nicht allein, denn unsere Tochter Anja und Bekannte aus Berlin verbrachten mit uns die schöne Zeit im angemieteten Ferienhaus.
Der Urlaubstag begann fast immer mit einem Frühstücklauf entlang der Promenade, wo auch einige einheimische Walker frühzeitig unterwegs waren oder wir liefen durchs „Hinterland“, welches aber durch umherstreunende Hunde, nicht ganz ungefährlich war. Wenn wir dann zurückkamen hatten die „Berliner“ bereits ein wunderbares Frühstück vorbereitet. Der Tisch auf der Terrasse war gedeckt mit spanischen Spezialitäten, wie Wurst und Käse, Obst und frisches Brot, welches Bela jeden Morgen beim Bäcker um die Ecke holte.
Gegen Mittag fuhren wir dann an den Strand, wo wir bis zum Abend blieben. Von dort aus machten wir unsere Spaziergänge am Strand entlang zum Hafen, über die Dünen, zum Leuchtturm bis zur kleinen Bucht, oder lagen
die Sonne genießend im Sand .
Der Urlaub wurde durch Besuche bei Verwandten und Freunden abgerundet und jeden Abend freuten wir uns auf unsere selbst gekochten Menüs oder diverse Lokalbesuche, wo so manche Sangria getrunken wurde.
Zu unserem Programm gehörte auch ein Tagesausflug nach Barcelona, wo wir immer wieder Neues entdecken.
Da Günter den Barcelona-Marathon schon mehrmals gelaufen ist und es leider keinen Halbmarathon dort gibt, sagte ich ganz mutig, dass ich diesen im nächsten Jahr laufen werde!
